The archery target high poly was sculpted in Zbrush using spotlight tool by projecting the front view of the target. Then baked the details onto a low poly in Substance Painter.
The most of the wood assets in the scene use one texture set of wood trim sheet consisting of wooden planks and cylinders. By strategically placing the UV islands on each asset, I was able to use the trim sheet variously.
The drag marks on the sand floors are normal map decals. This detail tells the story of how the main weapon (Scorpio) was moved into this room.
The flag uses simple sillouette of the flag with alpha map to create further ripped details of the flag.
Brief storyboard illustrated to visualize the diorama cinematic. Focused on slowly revealing the scene and telling a story by finishing with the helmet and flag scene to indicate result of the battle.
Moodboard & Visual Research
Adding very low strength of area light to the window wall and the ceiling added some indirect light for the interior so it isn't too dark. Arranging elements so that they are cluttered yet organized was challenging and had to do a lot of research.
Block in of the scene. Getting the brightness and desired lighting direction in the scene was the challenge. The directional had to be strong enough to light the room but not over expose the flag.
